I am a third year PhD Student in the Algebraic Geometry and Mathematical Physics group at the University of Sheffield. I am studying connections between combinatorics, algebraic geometry and representation theory under the supervision of Dr Paul Johnson.
Previously, I completed an undergraduate degree and Part III in Mathematics at Murray Edwards College in Cambridge. My Part III essay was on the structure of Chevellay groups over local fields and was supervised by Dr Beth Romano.
Here is my CV.
I'm a lecturer for MAS003 this term at the University of Sheffield. All of the course materials are on blackboard. Questions about the lectures and content are encouraged, and you are welcome to email these to epound1 [at] sheffield [dot] ac [dot] uk. Please put MAS003 in the subject line of your email. I cannot help with questions related to the online tests, and in particular cannot change marks once they are in the system.
I supervise a few undergraduate maths courses at the University of Cambridge. This year I am supervising first year Groups and second year Groups Rings and Modules for Trinity Hall College and first year Numbers and Sets for Murray Edwards College. Various teaching materials will appear here as the courses progress, and students are email any questions to ep455 [at] cam [dot] ac [dot] uk.
I do not respond to messages from students on social media, so if you have a question about the course, ensure you are using the appropriate channels of communication.
I am involved to varying degrees with the following outreach activities.
